Get involved with cancer walks that are scheduled in your area. They are a great way to help in the fight against cancer.
Almost anyone can be involved because of the many ways you can contribute. The following are just a few of the ways to participate:
- Raise funds to support a worthy cancer organization that is making a difference in the fight against one or more types of cancer.
- Get out and walk in cancer walks. It helps raise awareness about the effects of cancer, supports a great cause, and is an excellent form of exercise as well at the same time.
- volunteer to help plan and promote cancer walk. The walkathons that appear to be easy and run smoothly are typically the result of a hard working volunteer planning team. Put your skills to work for the next cancer walk.
Many of us have a feeling of helplessness when it comes to dealing with cancer. We may not be able to lead cancer research or provide medical care to those who are suffering from cancer. But, we can participate in the fight against cancer through our participation in cancer walks.
